WLC Charities

As a young man (23), I was tasked with taking care of my mother who developed breast cancer.   The picture at the top of this webpage is us at my older brothers rehearsal dinner in 1981.  She would be gone from the earth in just a few months. My mom had a great team from the Oncology Department at Evanston Hospital and I will be forever grateful for their support.  While I wish I could say that I was supported by family and close friends, there were only a couple (and they know who they are) who were truly there for me. These were what I call “the days of you and me against the world.”  Before her passing, my mom demonstrated courage and love that has stayed with me to this day.  As heartbreaking as that time was in my life, the experience changed me in fundamental ways.

I began a journey of searching for ways to contribute in a positive way to the world.  I believe she is with me, guiding me as only a loving mother can.

In my adult life, I have always kept an eye out for opportunities to give back and I have found charitable giving as a great way to do so.  The causes related to cancer are the ones that mean the most to me.  I experienced the pain associated with this horrible disease and am trying to help any way possible to help battle cancer, but also to help those afflicted with it.

White Lake Consulting is proud to support worthwhile organizations. A predetermined portion of every dollar of revenue is set aside in a special “WLC Charities” account and then distributed to worthy causes. The mission of WLC Charities is to:

  • Honor the past
  • Support the present
  • Build a legacy for the future

In keeping with these themes, regular contributions are carried out by a recognized organization. Thank you to the clients who help White Lake Consulting make a difference in the world!
